
Coline Moreau
Profile
Coline Moreau holds bachelor's and master's degrees in law from UCLouvain in Belgium. She is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Criminology at the University of Ottawa, with the Canada Research Chair in Legal Traditions and Penal Rationality, directed by Professor A. Pires. Her doctoral research focuses on criminal law, criminology and human rights. She is particularly interested in the themes of the purposes of punishment, fundamental rights, and innovation and obstacles to innovation in criminal law reform. She has also conducted research on the place of victims in the Canadian criminal justice system, as well as on the rights of young people and their effective access to the justice system.
