Jennifer Lavalley

Jennifer Lavalley is nêhiyaw-Saulteaux Métis, and a registered member of Piapot First Nation (Treaty 4). She is a Project Coordinator at the BC Centre on Substance Use providing research support to the Western Aboriginal Harm Reduction Society (WAHRS), and a PhD student in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of British Columbia. Jennifer’s research aims to explore the experiences of Indigenous people who use drugs in order to optimize and ensure the cultural relevance of overdose-focused harm reduction and substance use treatment.
