Len Crispino

As Ontario Chamber of Commerce President and CEO between April 2002 and January 2012, Len worked tirelessly to build a stronger chamber network through change management. His working philosophy was to affect change by building multilateral relationships to resolve regulatory issues impacting business, from fiscal policy to a competitive tax and regulatory regime, energy and infrastructure, healthcare costs, workforce development, and the Canada-US border.  Len served as assistant deputy minister in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and as the president and chief executive officer of Ontario Exports Inc. from 1993 to 2001.

During his distinguished career with the Government of Ontario, Len served for three years as the province's chief trade representative to Italy, promoting Ontario's trade and investment interests, and was awarded the Order of Merit from the Italian Government for fostering business ties between Canada and Italy. Prior to his work overseas, he held senior management positions in policy, planning and operations. 
He and his wife Marisa own a niche and innovative estate winery (The Foreign Affair Winery) producing exclusively amarone-styled wines, the first to do so in Canada.

Len received a professional ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.  He has an MBA (Marketing) from York University, a Masters and BA from the University of Toronto. He lends his expertise in governance as chair of the Niagara College Board of Governors as well as chair of the Priorities and Planning Committee and chair of the Presidential Evaluation Committee.  Len is also appointed to the Advisory Board of the Mowat Centre for Policy Innovation at U of T. He has served as director of the Council of the Americas, co-chair of the William Osler Health Centre Foundation Board, past chair of Seneca International, a member of the Governor General's Study Group on private sector financing, as well as a number of other community organizations.
