Thomas Ledwell

A seasoned and creative communicator and recognized digital expert, his experience ranges from developing multi-channel engagement strategies to creating content, designing innovative projects, and establishing dynamic relationships, partnerships and collaborations. A results-driven strategic thinker, Thomas has offered his creativity and commitment to public good to a number of reputable organizations throughout his career, including McGill University - as Director, Alumni Communities - and the NewCities Foundation, an urban innovation think tank, as Director of Communications. He has also served as an advisor, editor, and content creator for the Université Laval and the Government of Qatar, among others. A long-time journalist, he previously worked for The Montreal Gazette and the CBC, in Canada and in London, England, as well as at the BBC. Thomas firmly believes in the power of communications to drive innovation and build communities. He is an active member of the Equitas Communications Committee and is the co-creator of +Fort, a mobile application that supports youth who are victims of bullying.
Thomas Ledwell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Studies and History, with honours, and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King's College in Halifax. He also earned a Master of Science in Politics and Communication, with distinction, from the London School of Economics and Political Science .
