Adelle Blackett: Transnational Futures of International Labour Law

To mark the 100th anniversary of the International Labour Organization (ILO), 2016 Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Fellow Adelle Blackett introduced an impactful12-week lecture series held at McGill’s Faculty of Law called Transnational Futures of International Labour Law.

The seminars featured talks by several other Foundation community members including 2003 Scholar Robert Leckey, 2008 Fellow François Crépeau, 2017 Fellow Bernard Duhaime, 2016 Fellow Poonam Puri, 2016 Mentor the Hon. Louis LeBel, and 2014 Scholar Joanna Langille.

This series was the core component of Professor Blackett's Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Fellowship project entitled "Canadian Contributions to Social Justice in the World of Work: Transnational Futures of International Labour Law."

Adelle Blackett recently published the book Everyday Transgressions, in which she addresses issues of international labour law related to the millions of domestic workers around the world.
