The call for nominations to recruit the 2025 Mentors for the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation is officially open!
Becoming a Mentor is a unique opportunity to join a community dedicated to developing Canada’s top doctoral researchers into the engaged leaders of tomorrow. For the first time, self-nominations are possible and we continue to encourage members of our community to propose nominations.
Who are the Mentors?
- Leading practitioners from various professional fields.
- Accomplished leaders from a number of different sectors – private, public, parapublic and non-profit (excluding the academia).
What Mentors bring:
- A range of opportunities for Scholars, including professional shadowing, networking, conference introductions and co-publications.
- Their own experiences, networks, background and ideas to proactively engage with their Scholars to extend the reach of their research work and engage with a broader public (Mentors are not expected to provide professional coaching).
- The ability to design and deliver practical master classes for Scholars as part of Foundation events.
What Mentors benefit from:
- An annual honorarium.
- An annual travel allowance to enable them to meet and network.
- Networking opportunities within the Foundation’s vibrant intergenerational community of leading academics and accomplished leaders from diverse sectors.
