Fall: a pretext for a pleasant reunion
After a busy back-to-school period, marked by a number of Foundation activities, our community was invited to come together for an informal autumn cocktail party, held at the Foundation's offices in Montreal.
The entire permanent team was on hand to welcome Fellows, Scholars and Mentors from various cohorts, past and present.
The evening included a presentation by former Bibliothèque et archives nationales du Québec CEO Guy Berthiaume (2010 Mentor) on his book Mes grandes bibliothèques : Mes archives. Mes mémoires. (Delbusso Editeur), from which he even read a few excerpts to the guests.
Caroline Leblanc (2019 Scholar), who works to defend the rights of the homeless, presented her book "L'héroïne de ma vie" (Édition TNT), a partly biographical text that invites us to better understand, without judging, the issues that people who use opioids may face.
Both authors generously autographed a number of copies.
The event was also an opportunity to welcome to Quebec Stephan Delaux (2023 Mentor), who was in Montreal for a few days. Mr. Delaux has been deputy mayor of Bordeaux since 1995, and is currently in charge of tourism, heritage and events in this superb city in south-western France.
